GeoJSON
Fossils
In the synchronous deposits of Southeastern Fergana, Early Cenomanian foraminifers Rotaliatina asiatica N. Byk. * are found.
In the lower half of the Kyzylpilyal Fm, remains of nonmarine ostracods Timiriasevi polymorpha Mand., T. principialis Lubimova (Sochava, 1968) were found. In the upper part of the Kyzylpilyalskaya suite, remains of marine ostracods of the genus Neocythere were found, and in its analogs in Southeast Fergana, remains of early Cenomanian foraminifera were found. The presented information allows us to suggest that in the northeastern part of the Turkestan and in the South Fergana region, we are dealing only with the tops of the Lower Cretaceous section, most likely of Albian age.
